10 May 2018 |

“On behalf of Australian industry, the Australian Chamber welcomes the Australian Government’s response to China’s draft cyber supervision laws,” Australian Chamber CEO, James Pearson, said today.

“We also acknowledge the Chinese Government’s openness and willingness to receive comments about practical implications of the proposed laws to ensure that they address legitimate concerns without impeding data flows and delivery of commercial services to consumers.

“China is Australia’s largest trade partner.

“We encourage trade and investment with China that embraces the modern digital economy.”
