Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said the federal government is just days away from announcing a targeted support package to help struggling tourism operators stay afloat when JobKeeper ends on March 28.

Josh Frydenberg told guests that the government had been working on a package for some time & would announce the final details in a matter of days.

But although the Treasurer confirmed more support was on the way, he said the government was unable to save every business affected by international border closures & had already committed $251b in economic stimulus.

Following his presentation, the Treasurer sat down to a Q&A with Stephen Tait CEO of CCIQ & Steve Johnston the CEO of Suncorp Group. It was facilitated by Amanda Rohan, GM of Policy at CCIQ.
