‘A Fairer Australia’ with Daniel Petre, Peter Singer and Kristy Muir

On Tuesday, June 28, members and guests were invited to attend ACCI’s Better Australia Luncheon. The key theme focused on the ways in which harmony between ethics and profitability can be achieved with a long-term perspective and a focus on reputation. The esteemed panel included globally influential philosopher, Peter Singer, philanthropist and former Managing Director of Microsoft Australia, Daniel Petre, and Chief Alliances Officer at Paul Ramsay Foundation, Professor Kristy Muir, who challenged the audience by pushing forward the idea that, “if you’ve been lucky in life, it’s your responsibility and not your choice to give back.”

ACCI would like to thank the panel, as well as Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry President, Karyn Sobels, who delivered the vote of thanks.
